CHRIS CALDWELL

Chris Caldwell is a Seattle-based filmmaker and co-founder of SHEP Films.

He wrote and directed the SXSW award-winning sci-fi film, PROSPECT. In keeping with his narrative passion for the fantastical, he has worked with brands and agencies to bring some eclectic stories to life for the Seahawks, Sony, Microsoft, and others.

Prospect

Written and directed by Chris Caldwell, PROSPECT stars Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us, The Mandalorian), Sophie Thatcher (Yellowjackets), and Jay Duplass (Transparent). It premiered at SXSW where it won the Visions Competition.

Seahawks vs Monsters

The Seahawks were skeptical, but then we showed the players the movie poster depicting them as heroes fighting Godzilla-like monsters. What followed was a throwback fever dream featuring a miniature Seattle skyline from an alternate universe, hand-drawn VFX, and retro-inspired costumed Kaiju.

Sony tasked Chris with showcasing the camera on their new flagship smartphone. We made a sprawling short film about sci-fi cookery that took us from the heights of the Olympic Mountains to the izakaya underbelly of Tokyo.
