Seahawks vs. Monsters
Pitting their players against retro Ultraman-style kaiju was the last thing on the Seahawks' mind when they came to us for this short film…but it was the first thing on ours.
In collaboration with Seattle-based art studio Electric Coffin, we created a fictional movie poster to pitch our wild vision and after it made the rounds in the locker room, the Seahawks were in.
Electric Coffin created a miniature Seattle skyline in their eclectic style which would be the stage for our epic battle. Our own production design studio, the TAKA Collective, created the costumes.
Production required tightly-wound logistics. In order to pull this off, we had to set up our stage on the sidelines of the Seahawks' field and were only afforded 30 minutes with each player during breaks from practice.
VFX assets handmade by Electric Coffin were composited by us into the film to complete the cheeky retro vibe.
